The Procedure for Dental Bridges

Next, our dentist will remove a portion of the enamel from the abutment teeth so the bridge can be cemented. Then, our dentist will take an impression of where the bridge will be placed. This impression will be sent to a dental lab where the bridge will be made.

While the permanent bridge is being made, the dentist will place a temporary bridge to protect the exposed teeth and gums. When the permanent bridge is ready, the temporary bridge will be removed, and the permanent one will be checked and adjusted as necessary to achieve a proper fit. The bridge will then be permanently cemented to the abutment teeth.
